El Club del Hígado (The Liver Club) is a Venezuelan medical association specializing in liver diseases. Founded by doctors for doctors, the association aims to depart from the traditional and monotonous image of medicine by incorporating fresh and humorous presentations. Fifteen years ago, the board of directors sought to give the association a rock band-like image. Since then, the association has incorporated humorous motifs into its annual conference posters to address liver health and also touch on the current political situation in Venezuela.
